Pat McGrath labs Metalmorphosis 005 Everything

Pat McGrath är en av världens mest kända makeupartister. Amerikanska Vouges chefredaktör Anna Wintour har kallat henne världens mest inflytelserika makeupartist. Hon är Global Beauty Creative Design Director för Procter & Gamble (Cover Girl, Max factor) och skapade Dolce & Gabbana: The Makeup och designade Guccis debut skönhetskollektion. Hon har även Pat McGrath Labs som släpper små makeupkollektioner spontant och i limited edition. Och det säljer slut snabbt! The only rule? Use Without Caution.
Jag har försökt komma över de senaste kollektionerna utan att lyckas – trots att jag anmält VIP och fått mail innan kollektionen släpps för alla. När en ny kollektion släpps är det ofta lite som vid H&M:s desigersamarbeten. Det är omöjligt att komma in på hemsidan och allt säljer slut direkt. Men plötsligt händer det! Nu är jag äntligen ägare till senaste kollektionen Pat McGrath labs Metalmorphosis 005 Everything.
För ett tag sedan skrev Kicki om fem pressutskick hon inte vill ha. Läs hela inlägget här. Ett av dem var de med glitter i. Det här är iofs inte ett pressutskick (I wish!) men Pat McGrath Labs produkter kommer packade med massor med av paljetter. Helt klart onödigt. Men effektfullt. Och man kan onekligen få till otroligt effektfulla, gnistrande fotografier. Instagram och bloggvänligt så det förslår.
Ok så låt oss gå in på själva produkterna då.
Pat McGrath labs Metalmorphosis 005 Everything är precis vad det låter som. Det vill säga hela Metalmorphosis 005 kollektionen. I kollektionen gör Gold 001 comeback tillsammans med andra metaller. Kitet innehåller:
- 4 x 0.14 oz/ 3.96 g 005 Pigment in Gold 001, Silver 005, Bronze 005, Copper 005
- 4 x 0.14 oz/ 3.96 g 005 Cream in Gold 005 Cream, Silver 005 Cream, Bronze 005 Cream, Copper 005 cream
- 0.11 oz/ 3.11 g Dual-Ended Marker in Black
- 0.5 oz/ 14.7 mL Mehron mixing liquid
Jag hade höga förväntningar på kvalitén på dessa produkter och som du kan se på mina swatches ovan så ser de verkligen helt fantastiska ut. Särskilt pigmenten när man blandar dem med mixing liquid. Ser verkligen ut som metall. Ska bli så roligt att leka lite mer med dessa gnistrande skönheter.

Vogue’s Anna Wintour, proclaimed her “the most influential makeup artist in the world.” Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II made her a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to the fashion and beauty industry. She’s Global Beauty Creative Design Director for Procter & Gamble (Cover Girl, Max factor) and created Dolce & Gabbana: The Makeup and she designed Gucci’s debut beauty collection. She also have created Pat McGrath Labs that releases small limited edition makeup collections spontaneously. And they sell out fast! The only rule? Use Without Caution.
I’ve been trying to get my hands on the latest Pat McGrath labs collection without any success. And I’ve been signed up as VIP getting an e-mail before they are released publicly. When a new collection is released it’s a bit like when H&M releases their designer collaborations. It’s impossible to load the homepage and the collection sells out fast. But suddenly it happens! I am now the proud owner of the Pat McGrath labs Metalmorphosis 005 Everything collection.
A while back Kicki wrote about five press releases she didn’t want to receive. You can read the post here. One on the list was packages filled with glitter. Well this isn’t a press release (I wish!) But the Pat McGrath Labs products comes with a lot of sequins as packing material. Totally not necessary. But oh so pretty. And it does make for some beautiful sparkling photos. Perfect for blog and Instagram.
Ok so let’s talk about the products.
Pat McGrath labs Metalmorphosis 005 Everything is exactly what it sounds like. The entire Metalmorphosis 005 collection. In this collection Gold 001 does a comeback together with some other precious metals. The kit contains:
- 4 x 0.14 oz/ 3.96 g 005 Pigment in Gold 001, Silver 005, Bronze 005, Copper 005
- 4 x 0.14 oz/ 3.96 g 005 Cream in Gold 005 Cream, Silver 005 Cream, Bronze 005 Cream, Copper 005
- 0.11 oz/ 3.11 g Dual-Ended Marker in Black
- 0.5 oz/ 14.7 mL Mehron mixing liquid
I had high expectations on the quality of the products and as you can see on the swatches above the products looks amazing. Especially the pigments when you mix them with the mixing liquid. They really look like metal. I can’t wait to play with these shimmering beauties.

Jag misstänkte att det var något från Pat du hade köpt när jag såg paljetterna i ett annat inlägg 🙂 Så snygga nyanser.
Ja paljetterna fick agera fotorekvisita på några fler foton när jag ändå hade dem utspridda. Ja de är verkligen vackra. Blandade med mixing Liquid ser de ut som flytande metal. ❤️
