KICKS Expert Color Book

KICKS Expert Color Book är en limited edition palett som kom lagom till jul. Den finns fortfarande att köpa och nu är den dessutom på REA (åtminstone online). Jag tänkte att jag skulle visa er denna riktigt fina multi-palett.
KICKS Expert Color book innehåller 54 ögonskuggor, 2 rouge, 2 highlighters, 2 bronzers, 6 läppglans, 2 ögonpennor och 3 makeup borstar. Jag kan väl börja med att erkänna att den här typen av paletter inte brukar locka mig då kvalitén sällan brukar vara den bästa. När jag nu hade fått hem den här blev jag ändå nyfiken på att ta mig en närmare titt på den.
När man tar fram KICKS Expert Color book ur kartongen visar det sig att själva paletten faktiskt är riktigt snygg och ser ut som en riktigt bok. Paletten är relativt stor och innehåller en stor spegel.
Ögonskuggorna är inte jättepigmenterade men merparten av dem känns ändå som att det går att använda. Särskilt om du grundar med en primer. Du kan även använda en fuktad borste för mer tryck i färgerna. En del av skuggorna smulade lite när jag swatchade dem. Av de jag swatchade var de framförallt skuggorna med glitter som smulade. Glittret syntes inte alls men däremot tenderade de skuggorna att smula. Jag kan tänka mig att de skuggorna kommer vara lite svåra att jobba med. Rouge, bronzer och highlighters är alla ganska skira. Fördelen med det är att om du inte är van att använda dessa produkter så är risken att du applicerar för mycket ganska liten. När det kommer till ögonpennor så innehåller Expert color book två stycken. En klassisk svart kajal som känns krämig och lätt applicerad men som eventuellt skulle kunna kladda lite (har bara hunnit testa den på armen än). Den ljusa pärlemorskimmrande penna är fantastiskt vacker och kändes inte lika krämig som den svarta.

För dig som redan har massor med smink känns det här kanske inte som en nödvändig produkt. Har du däremot precis börjat exprimentera med makeup så får du riktigt mycket för pengarna här särskilt nu när den REA:s ut. Namnet på framsidan ”Expert Color Book. Professional makeup palette” håller jag kanske inte med om. Skulle mer säga att det kan vara en bra nybörjar palett med många färger att pröva sig fram med. En makeup junkie kommer nog inte att bli allt för imponerad.
KICKS Expert Color Book is a limited edition palette that was released in time for Christmas. It’s still available though and now it’s on sale so I thought I’d show it to you. It’s actually a quite nice multi-palette.
KICKS Expert Color book contains 54 eye shadows, 2 blush, 2 highlighters, 2 bronzers, 6 lip glosses, 2 eye pencils and 3 makeup brushes. I think I should start with the information that I normally don’t like this kind of products. The quality usually isn’t that good. Well when I got this I thought I might as well take a closer look at it.
When you take the KICKS Expert Color book out of the box I noticed that the palette itself actually looks quite nice. Like a real book. This is a quite big palette that contains a big mirror on one side.
The eye shadows aren’t super pigmented but most of them feels like you can get some use out of them. Especially if you start with a good primer. You can also apply them with a wet brush for more pop. Some of the shadows did have some fall down when I swatched them. Especially the once with glitter in them. The glitter doesn’t show but the shadows feels a bit tricky to work with and like their will be some fall down. En del av skuggorna smulade lite när jag swatchade dem. Av de jag swatchade var de framförallt skuggorna med glitter som smulade. Glittret syntes inte alls men däremot tenderade de skuggorna att smula. Blush, bronzer and highlighters are all a bit week. The upside to this is that if you’re not used to using these kind of products you don’t have to be too worried about using to much product. The Expert color book contains two eye pencils. One classic black that feels creamy and glides on nicely. It might smudge though (I’ve only tried it on my are yet). The other one is a beautiful shimmering cream colored pencil that feels a bit less creamy than the black.
If you have a lot of makeup already I don’t believe you need to add this to your collection. If you are just starting to experience the fun of makeup then this could be a nice starting point. You get a lot of products for your money. Especially now when it’s on sale. I don’t agree with the writing on the front though: ”Expert Color Book. Professional makeup palette”. Id say it’s more of a beginners palette with a lot of colors to start playing around with. A real makeup junkie probably won’t be too impressed.
