Testar LACQUA och LACHROME

Svenska företaget L.Y.X. Cosmetics som skapat LACKRYL (akrylnagellack för hemmabruk) kom för ett tag sedan med nyheterna LACQUA och LACHROME. LACQUA är ett vattenbaserat peel-off lack som ska hålla mellan 5 dagar och tre veckor(!). LACHROME är chromepulver för naglarna som går att använda på LACQUA så att du får chromenaglar som dessutom är lätt att ta bort. Hur spännande låter inte det här? Jättespännande tycker jag och har varit hur nyfiken som helst på dessa nyheter ända sedan jag hörde talas om dem för första gången. Sjävklart var jag tvungen att besöka dem på Daisy Beauty Expo så nu har jag fått möjligheten att testa själv.

LACQUA Midnight

LACHROME Chrome pulver in blue and silver

LACQUA

LACQUA är som sagt vattenbaserat och peel-off men ska ändå ha lång hållbarhet. Fem dagar upp till tre veckor om grundar rätt och använder tillhörande över- och underlack. Du behöver således införskaffa även LACQUA över- och underlack till de färgade lacken. LACQUA har ett kombinerat över och underlack så du behöver däremot inte köpa både överlack och underlack. Lacket aktiveras av värme och torkar på ca 3 minuter (kan ta längre tid (3-10 min) beroende på temperatur och hur tjockt lager lack du tagit på). Har du bråttom ska du kunna torka det med hårtork i 15 sekunder. Jag har inte testa det. Än.

Utöver färgat lack och över- och underlacket behöver du ett putsblock, en nagelborste och tillhörande multiverktyg (eller orangepinne) för att dina LACQUA-lack ska fästa ordentligt. Börja med att försiktigt trycka tillbaka nagelbanden, putsa nageln försiktigt med putsblocket (putsa inte för mycket) för att få bort glans och döda hudrester. Nageln ska vara fri från produkter, nagelband och fett för att lacket ska fästa ordentligt. Borsta sedan bort putsdamm med nagelborsten. Applicera ett tunnt lager av över/underlacket. Applicera 1-2 lager av det färgade lacket (låta lacket torka 1-3 minuter mellan lagren). Avsluta med ett lager över/underlack. När du vill ta bort lacket lyfter du med hjälp av en orangepinne bort en flik av lacket vid nagelbandet och sedan ska det bara vara att dra bort. Jag har inte tagit bort mitt än så jag vet inte hur bra det går än. Eller hur bra det håller.

LACHROME

Det absolut mest spännande med LACQUA är att det kan kombineras med LACHROME chromepulver för en läcker chrome effekt. Chromepulvret kommer i sex nyanser. Vill du använda LACHROME så hoppar du över överlacket från LACQUA och använder istället ett lager LACHROME akryllack. Här kommer du att behöva en LED-lampa för att härda lacket. Så på med akryllacket istället för överlacket. Härda i 60 sekunder. Ta silikonverktyget och bred ut ett tunt lager chromepulver. Polera in pulvret i nageln och borsta sedan bort överflödigt pilver med nagelborsten. Ta sedan ett lager akryllack till och härda sedan igen i 60 sekunder under lampan. Vill du få ännu mera metallisk effekt upprepar du de sista stegen en gång till (det har jag gjort här ovan). När du vill ta bort ditt LACHROME använder du en orangepinne för att peta bort ett hörn och drar sedan bort lacket. Jag har som sagt inte hunnit testa än hur lätt borttagningen går. För att rengöra silkonverktyget från chromepulvret behöver du deras rengöring (går med diskmedel men då får du jobba mer).

Just nu håller jag på att testa. Jag använde LACQUA i Midnight (svart) och blått och silverfärgat chromepulver.

Det var inte alls svårt att göra själva och än så länge (efter tre dagar) sitter lacket fint på plats.

Lacqua kostar 129 kr/8 ml för både underlack, överlack och färglacken. Finns i 39 färger.

Lachrome chromepulvret kostar 165 kr.

The Swedish company L.Y.X. Cosmetics that created LACKRYL (a acrylic polish for home) released some news a while back. LACQUA and LACHROME. LACQUA is a water based peel-off polish that’s suppose to last for 5 days up to three weeks(!). LACHROME is chrome powder for nails that can be used on top of LACQUA so you will get easy to remove chrome nails. Doesn’t this sounds exciting? I think it sounds really exciting so I’ve been dieing to try it since I heard about it the first time. Since L.Y.X. was one of the exhibitors at Daisy Beauty Expo I of course had to visit them. Now I’ve had the possibility to try LACQUA and LACHROME myself.

LACQUA

LACQUA is as I mentioned a water based peel off polish that’s long lasting. Five days up to three weeks with the right ground work and their base & top coat. You’ll need the LACQUA base & top coat. The good thing is that it’s a combined base & top coat so you don’t have to buy both a base coat and a top coat. The polish is activated from heat and dries in approximately 3 minutes. It can take longer depending on the temperature and how thick of a coat of nail polish you have used ( 3 minutes to 10 minutes). If you’re in a hurry you’re suppose to be able to dry it with a hair dryer for 15 seconds. I haven’t tried this. Yet.

Except for a colored LACQUA polish, the base & top coat you’ll also need a polishing block, a nail brush and their multi tool (or a orange stick) for your polish to last. Start by carefully pushing down your cuticles with the orange stick. The lightly polish your nails with the polishing block (not to long). Brush the nail with the nail brush, The nail is suppose to be free from products, dust and grease. Apply a thin coat of the base & top coat. Then apply one or two thin coats of the colored nail polish. Let the nails dry for 1-3 minutes between coats. Finish your manicure off with a thin coat of the base & top coat. When you want to remove the polish you simply use a orange stick to get a bit of the polish to loosen and then peel it off. I haven’t tried removing it yet so I don’t know how easy it is to peel off yet. Or how long it will last.

LACHROME

The most exciting part about LACQUA is that it can be combined with the LACHROME chrome powder for a chrome effect. The chrome powder comes in six different colors. If you want to use LACHROME then you polish your nails like above but instead of the LACQUA top coat you use the LACHROME acrylic polish as top coat. Here you will need a LED-lamp to dry the polish. So on with the acrylic insted of the other top coat as a last step. Then dry the acrylic for 60 seconds. After that you use the silicon tool and apply a thin layer of chrome powder. Work the chrome powder in to the nail until it gets shiny. Then use the nail brush to brush of excess powder. The apply another thin coat of the acrylic and dry for 60 seconds under the LED-lamp. If you want a more metallic finish you just do these last steps one more time (like I’ve done for the photos above). When you’re ready to remove your LACHROME you just use a orange stick like mentioned above to get the polish to loosen and then you peel it off. I have as I mentioned before not tried to remove it yet so I can’t say how easy it is.

I’m trying these right now. I used LACQUA in Midnight (black) and the blue and the silver chrome powder.

It wasn’t hard to do yourself and so far it looks great but I’ve only used it for three days.
